The Mountain Man Memorial March began as a way for the University of Tennessee Army ROTC Cadets to honor one of their own, 1LT Frank Walkup, who was killed in 2007 while serving in Iraq. Since inception in 2008, the MMMM mission has been steadfast in Honoring our Fallen Veterans and Supporting the Gold Star Families (GSF). The MMMM is a registered 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Public Charity (EIN 88-1395928), and 100% of the funds raised are applied to the mission, our motto - Honor * Through * Action. The Board of Directors strongly believe in the mission and volunteer a significant amount of time to bring the Veteran and GSF community together to remember those who served and sacrificed, celebrate their lives, and to recognize the families and friends left behind. We believe that there is so much more we can do to have a greater impact on our Veteran and GSF community in the years to come.
